Echoes of the Vietnam War
The VVMF hired me to produce the 2024 Memorial Day episode of their podcast. For this special episode, I scripted, conducted interviews, edited, and produced a compelling story about a young man whose life was tragically cut short. This project was one of the most meaningful I’ve ever worked on, showcasing my comprehensive skills in podcast production.
Behavioral Grooves
As the producer of Behavioral Grooves, I lead the strategic development of episode content, meticulously curating topics and securing high-profile guests to ensure each release captivates our audience. My role encompasses comprehensive research, seamless guest coordination, meticulous record organization, and the meticulous preparation of episodes for our weekly releases. Positioned as a frontrunner in the Behavioral Science podcast landscape, I am committed to pushing boundaries, sourcing innovative guests, and delivering compelling content to continually expand our extensive listener base. Through a balanced blend of precision and creativity, I consistently strive to enhance the quality and impact of our podcast, fostering engagement and growth within the Behavioral Science community.
The Land Bulletin Podcast
I joined the Mirr Ranch Group as podcast producer of the Land Bulletin Podcast in April of 2024. As the producer, I help create episode outlines, arrange interviews, manage records, edit episodes, and lead post-production/distribution efforts of the bi-weekly show.
48 Hour Film Festival - Winner
I participated as a writer/director in the 48 Hour Film Festival in Austin, Texas. I led production, wrote the script, and directed the short film in under 48 hours in June of 2023. Our film “Is My Boyfriend Cheating on Me With Natalie Portman?” won the audience choice award at the festival’s conclusion.
Immigrant Learning Center
Clementine Productions enlisted me to produce a video series for the Barry M. Portnoy Immigrant Entrepreneur Awards recipients, with a tight two-week turnaround. In that time, I coordinated, scheduled, and produced shoots for two outstanding nominees. The final product not only highlights our exceptional production work but also showcases the inspiring stories of two deserving individuals dedicated to improving their communities.
Podcetera
At Podcetera, I undertook the role of editor, meticulously enhancing sound quality, and troubleshooting any audio glitches that arose. My commitment to delivering a seamless listening experience extended beyond technical finesse to include strategic story cuts, ensuring each episode was not only concise but also exceptionally engaging. Using my narrative skills, I sculpted the content flow, eliminating superfluous elements and tightening the overall structure. The result is a series of episodes that resonates with listeners through pristine audio and captivates their attention from the first word to the last.
Programming Producer
During my tenure as a Programming Producer at a prominent tech company in Austin, TX, I successfully coordinated the production of multiple projects. Engaging in various roles, I not only oversaw all stages of development but also took charge as the lead producer for the popular video series, THWACK Tech Tips. In addition to organization, development, on-set production support, and basic editing, I also contributed by scripting and directing projects, ensuring their seamless execution.
Janice is Having A Day
To promote Sys Admin Day and brand awareness for SolarWinds, my team and I came up with a series of short, simple videos to distribute across YouTube and social. In this project, I helped script, schedule, set up, and publish the series. For this video in particular I had the honor of voicing “Janice”.
TechPod
I served as the lead producer for TechPod, a corporate IT podcast. Our concept revolved around "Where IT talks Tech," with the goal of providing valuable content for both new hires and seasoned IT professionals. Throughout its run, I spearheaded TechPod's pre-production, recording, editing, and post-production distribution processes.
Reimagined Energy
As a freelance podcast producer, I have helped people get many projects off the ground, from pre-production to publication. Most recently, I have helped the Canadian company Sociable Media produce Reimagined Energy, a podcast that highlights green initiatives all throughout Canada. For this project, I edit all audio and video elements, provide copy for the title and description, and run publication of episodes through Buzzsprout.
Therapeutic as Folk(lore)
A personal project of mine. I run an improv comedy podcast that focuses on local legends and mythology across the world. I handle everything from creating the episode plan, finding talented folks to join in, directing during the recording sessions, and even promoting the episodes after they're released. We've wrapped our first season, and I'm thrilled to say that we're hitting the mark with our target audience.
Talking Body with Amy Porterfield
In my role as an assistant to the lead podcast producer, I played a crucial part in the research and development of a limited podcast series. I actively contributed by providing valuable resources, crafting scripts, and meticulously reviewing relevant materials to enhance the overall content of each episode. By diligently fulfilling these responsibilities, I helped ensure that the podcast series was well-rounded and engaging for our audience.
#RachTalk.
As the coordinator of the weekly YouTube show RachTalk, I took charge of the entire production process. This involved meticulously planning and organizing each episode to deliver a seamless viewing experience. Additionally, I was responsible for writing engaging copy for the show's segments, carefully crafting weekly descriptions that enticed viewers and provided a glimpse into the exciting content they could expect. Through these efforts, I aimed to create an enjoyable and informative experience for our audience on a consistent basis.
RISE - App
As the Production Coordinator for the RISE Fitness App, I played a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of the set. My responsibilities included creating detailed call sheets, efficiently organizing and managing talent, and brainstorming fresh themes for workout videos that would captivate and engage our audience. In addition to my production duties, I also wrote copy for the app. Over a period of six months, I curated titles and crafted engaging descriptions for more than 80 videos, enhancing the overall user experience and encouraging active participation.
